I've had the pleasure to interact with Judi as both a yoga class member and as a local small business.

I've taken classes with Judi weekly for almost a year, and she has always been a delight to work with, and is very responsive and intuitive to the needs of her class participants. Judi's classes are a wonderful blend of stretching, strengthening, and meditation, that leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed in both mind and body. I highly recommend her as a yoga teacher.

I have also worked with Judi as a business owner, by having her host classes at our winery location in Southern Maryland. She has been fantastic to work with on that end as well, being flexible when needed and always reliable.

I try to take Judi’s class at least once a week. Her class makes your body feel amazing!  If you have extremely tight muscles going in, they will feel looser going out. 

Her voice is soothing and she’s always happy to see you. If I could, I would take her class everyday!

I am grateful for the Whole Body Fascia Workshop and learning specifics on how to target problem areas. Judi explains everything thoroughly and thoughtfully and is knowledgeable and caring.

The appeal of the workshop was to use the techniques learned to provide some relief for myself on my own. With the soft tennis balls (they are just the right pressure) I can do that now for myself which gives me some comfort, emotionally and physically, in between doctors and PT visits. And with a chronic condition, any relief is a big deal and so appreciated!

I highly recommend Judi!  I have had numerous back issues and pain and contacted Judi for individual sessions for help.  I had tried chiropractors, acupuncture and yoga to help alleviate the pain.  Judi did a thorough questionnaire with me in my home, recommended a course of action that fit my lifestyle and abilities and met with me numerous times to check on my progress. She was very personable and caring and catered my mobility and movement routine by what was working and helping me to have less pain.  She tweaked the movements as needed, helped me to connect better to my mind and body and showed me how mindful breathing and relaxation techniques could benefit me as well. I have extensive experience with Judi’s skills and knowledge as a yoga instructor. My exposure to her yoga expertise includes regular yoga sessions, multi-week specific topic training classes, and her willingness to conduct practice based on the special needs/requests of participants. She demonstrates a tireless spirit of learning new yoga techniques by attending weekend yoga instructor training classes. The new knowledge is enthusiastically shared with her students.

Judi is the only yoga instructor of several I have known who learns and shares cognitive yoga principles and practice. On a personal level, cognitive yoga has helped me overcome cognitive deficits related to a closed head brain injury. I have seen an improvement in my ability to focus and concentrate. My ability to recall has also improved.

My confidence in Judi Lyons’ yoga abilities resulted in my recommendation to the management of the Northern Senior Activity Center that Judi be brought on as an instructor to fill a vacant position. She has performed exceedingly well in this role. - Dan D.
